I am a double bass player with the San Diego Symphony and have previously performed with the National Symphony and the New World Symphony in Miami Beach. A native of Houston, I’ve received both a Bachelors and Masters of Music Performance in an Honors 5-year degree program at Rice University. Beyond the symphony, I regularly perform with Art of Élan, Camarada, San Diego New Music, Carlsbad Music Festival, Camera Lucida, and other solo bass recitals.
“Proof that Bassists can be just as nimble and expressive as cellists.”
The Strad Magazine
As the bass instructor for the Mira Mesa High School Orchestra and Rancho Bernardo High School Orchestra programs, I teach beginners through advanced bass students; I also maintain a private teaching studio for lessons to students in the San Diego area. Currently for the 2015-2016 school year, I hold an interim position as a Studio Artist Teacher at San Diego State University as I lead the double bass program at the School of Music and Dance. In other artistic endeavors, I enjoy collaborating and creating multimedia experiences combining performers, projected images, and amplified sound.
