About

I joined the Los Angeles Philharmonic double bass section in 2017 and have previously performed with the San Diego Symphony, National Symphony, and the New World Symphony in Miami Beach. A native of Houston, I’ve received both a Bachelors and Masters of Music Performance in an Honors 5-year degree program at Rice University. I am committed to bringing the arts to all communities and in 2016 was appointed the Director of Community Engagement for Art of Élan.   Beyond performing with LA Phil, I also regularly perform with Art of Élan, Camarada, San Diego New Music, Carlsbad Music Festival, Camera Lucida, Luscious Noise, and other solo bass recitals.

“Proof that Bassists can be just as nimble and expressive as cellists.”

I teach beginners through advanced bass students of all ages;  I also maintain a private teaching studio providing lessons to students in the metro Los Angeles area (Glendale, Atwater Village, Los Feliz, Echo Park , Silver Lake, Pasadena, Downtown LA)  . Previously I’ve taught at the San Diego Youth Symphony, Mira Mesa High School Orchestra , Rancho Bernardo High School,  as well as being a Studio Artist Teacher at the San Diego State University at the School of Music and Dance. In other artistic endeavors, I enjoy collaborating and creating multimedia experiences combining performers, projected images, and amplified sound.
